The 49TH Annual Camp Barnes Stock Car Race is scheduled for Saturday, October 2nd at the Delaware International Speedway. Gates open at 2PM and racing will begin at 4PM.
Camp Barnes is very appreciative of all the support we have received from sponsors, racers, and fans for 49 years. Due to your support, we have been able to maintain a free camp to children since 1948. In recent years, we have been honored to recognize the following on our race cover and poster: Walt Breeding, Dave White, Snookie Vent, Hal Browning, Taylor & Messick, and Eddie Pettyjohn.
This year, on our 49th Anniversary, we would like to recognize Mr. Melvin Joseph and the Melvin Joseph Construction Company for their many years of dedication to Camp Barnes and Delaware Racing.
We are also currently running a raffle for a custom made fire-pit with proceeds benefiting Camp Barnes and Matthew Heacook (Son of Officer Keith Heacook)
Presentations to the Melvin Joseph Construction Company and Matthew Heacook will take place at Intermission.
Delaware is hosting a tremendous weekend of racing to include, Friday, October 1st at the “Georgetown Speedway” and Saturday, October 2nd the 49th Annual Camp Barnes Stock Car Race at the Delaware International Speedway in Delmar.
